Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops in Omaha is seeking a Diesel Technician to keep trucks and equipment running safely and efficiently. You will diagnose, repair light mechanical issues, assist with roadside services, and perform preventative maintenance.

The role requires physical work, lifting up to 75 pounds, and a rotating day/night schedule. Love’s offers tuition assistance, PTO, flexible scheduling, and a strong match 401(k) plan, with comprehensive health coverage after 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.
• Always follow safety policies and procedures to ensure customer safety.
• Work a rotating schedule that includes day and night shifts.
• Ability to obtain a DOT medical card (paid by Love’s).

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
