Transteck, Inc. in Harrisburg, PA is hiring a Diesel Technician for our Freightliner dealership. The role focuses on diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks, and offers on-site work with extensive training and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Determine cause of malfunction using manufacturer guides and service manuals; perform test drives as needed.
• Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs.
• Perform repairs using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment.
• Document work performed and reference applicable technical information.
• Note additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding.
• Keep customer vehicles and parts area clean and organized.
• Maintain tools and equipment; order parts per dealership procedures.
• Tag warranty parts and return dirty cores promptly.
• Complete repairs within the manufacturer’s standard repair time guidelines.

We have an immediate opening for a Diesel Technician for our Freightliner of Harrisburg dealership. Salary is $40,000-$100,000 per year.

Position Requirements

• Valid driver's license

Technician Duties

• Determine cause of malfunction; use manufacturers approved troubleshooting guides, test drive, or refer to manufactures on-line or printed service manuals as necessary.


• Promote sales of labor, parts, and accessories to meet customer needs.


• Perform requested labor operations using recommended procedures, tools, and equipment.


• Document work performed and applicable technical information.


• Note additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding.


• Clean all parts that have been worked on and keep customer vehicles clean.


• Maintain housekeeping and organization of personal work area.


• Maintain tools and equipment.


• Order parts according to dealership procedures.


• Tag all warranty parts and return all dirty cores to parts in a timely manner.


• Perform repairs in a timely manner set by the manufacturers standard repair time guidelines.
