First Student is hiring a Diesel Technician in Danbury, CT to maintain and repair school buses and keep the fleet safe and ready for service. You will use your mechanical and diagnostic skills to identify issues, perform repairs, and support daily operations for the Danbury fleet.

Formación

• At least one year of automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicle maintenance experience.
• Valid driver's license.
• Willing and able to obtain a CDL with company-paid training.
• Have a mechanic's tool set.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable using computers to complete work orders and access maintenance information.
• Interest in expanding ASE training and certification.
• Pride in performing safe, accurate, and dependable work.

About the Diesel Technician Position

Our Diesel Technicians maintain and repair school buses to ensure every vehicle is safe and ready for service. You will use your mechanical and diagnostic skills to identify problems, complete repairs, and support the daily operation of the Danbury fleet.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing preventive maintenance and safety inspections

Diesel Technician Qualifications

You may be a strong fit for this position if you:

• Have at least one year of automotive, diesel, electric, or CNG vehicle maintenance experience
• Have a valid driver's license
• Are willing and able to obtain a CDL with company-paid training
• Have a mechanic's tool set
• Possess strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Are comfortable using computers to complete work orders and access maintenance information
• Are interested in expanding your skills through ASE training and certification
• Take pride in performing safe, accurate, and dependable work
