Job summary

Elite is seeking a Diesel Technician who will diagnose, repair, and service diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles using military-acquired skills. This role is open to U.S. Military Veterans with Honorable Discharge, emphasizing safety, precision, and reliability in daily operations.

Responsibilities include maintenance, diagnostics, engine rebuilds, and accurate record-keeping, with collaboration across the shop to sustain high readiness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Military Veteran with an Honorable Discharge (documentation required).
• Experience working on diesel engines during military service (tanks, tactical vehicles, generators, transport trucks).
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical bulletins.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong problem-solving and mechanical aptitude.
• Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in various environments.
• Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).

• Conduct engine rebuilds, component overhauls, and part replacements with precision.
• Interpret work orders and technical documentation to determine repair procedures.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure documentation complies with company and regulatory standards.
• Utilize military-level discipline and attention to detail in every repair or service task.
• Adhere to all OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and maintain high operational readiness.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leaders regarding job status and repair needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MOS/Rating background in mechanical fields such as (but NOT limited to):
• 91B (Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic – Army)
• 3521 (Organizational Automotive Mechanic – USMC)
• CM (Construction Mechanic – Navy)
• 2T3X1 (Vehicle Maintenance – Air Force)
• Diesel or automotive technician certifications (ASE, OEM-specific, etc.).
• Experience with military or civilian fleet maintenance operations.
• Completion of a military technical school or SkillBridge program.
