Job summary

Schneider National, Inc. in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Diesel Technician to join our maintenance team.

You will perform PMs, annual inspections and repairs on tractors and trailers, while completing express services such as tire changes, brake adjustments and minor electrical repairs. The role requires a technical degree in diesel technology or at least one year of diesel technician experience, with strong attention to detail and the ability to provide your own tools within 30 days of hire.

Diesel Technician - 262336 - Full-time Wednesday-Friday and every other weekend, 3:00 p.m.-1:30 a.m.

Job overview:

• Further develop your maintenance skills as a Diesel Technician in Baltimore, MD.
• Handle annual inspections.
• Complete troubleshooting and component replacements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform PMs, annual inspections and repairs on tractors and trailers.
• Complete express services like tire changes, brake adjustments and minor electrical repairs.
• Communicate status updates to internal customers.

• Starting wages are $25.00 - $31.20 per hour based on experience.
  • Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working 50% or greater of the daily shift time between 3 p.m. and 5 a.m. local time, receive a $1.50 per hour differential for hours worked.
  • Non-exempt U.S. shop associates working weekend hours, receive an additional $0.65 per hour differential for hours worked. (Weekend hours worked between 9pm Friday – 5am Monday).
