Job summary

Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores in Oregon is seeking Diesel Technicians to keep trucks and equipment on the road, delivering reliable service and safe performance. You’ll diagnose and repair diesel systems, perform routine maintenance, and support customers and drivers in a busy, customer-facing setting.

The position requires lifting 75 pounds, adaptability to day and night shifts, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues on wheel-end assemblies and electrical systems.
• Assist customers with roadside services.
• Provide preventative maintenance services.
• Move and lift 75+ pounds; work in varying temperatures.
• Follow safety policies to protect customers and team members.
• Work a rotating day/night schedule.

Diesel Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and maintain clean places with friendly faces. You will interact with customers & drivers from all over, making their travels and their day better.

Job Functions:

• Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues that may include wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, or engine components
• Assist customers with roadside services
• Provide preventative maintenance services
• Ability to move, lift 75+ pounds working in close quarters. Ability to work in various temperatures.
• Always put the safety and satisfaction of your customers first, complying with company safety policies & procedures.
• Work a rotating schedule that alternates between day and night as needed.
• Ability to obtain a medical card through the Department of Transportation. (paid by Love’s)
