Job summary

TravelCenters of America is looking for a Level One Technician to service heavy-duty trucks and trailers across our network. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles to keep travelers on the road safely and efficiently.

The role demands teamwork, adherence to safety standards, and a customer-focused approach. We expect prior truck service experience and basic computer skills, with a valid driver’s license and flexibility for nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Job Summary

Our Truck Service team is comprised of nearly 3,000 highly skilled technicians and spans coast to coast. With over 280 locations across the country, TA Truck Service has a solid foundation and a forward-thinking vision. As a level one Technician, you will provide accurate, efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. Our Technicians ensure we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came!

In this role, you can expect to:

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide
• Diagnose wear conditions and together with TSA or Manager, makes recommendations to customers
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs
• Follow safety guidelines and reports potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.

• Prior verifiable truck service experience preferred
• Heavy duty ASE certifications not required, but a plus
• Basic computer skills

Pay Range

$19.50 - 23.05 per hour

Typical Physical Demands

In this role, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear.
