Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Level One Truck Service Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty trucks and trailers with professionalism. You will work in a fast-paced service environment and collaborate with managers to ensure high-quality customer care.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and timely repairs across our nationwide TA Truck Service network. You’ll need prior truck service experience, reliable communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Prior verifiable truck service experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required to run diagnostic tools and report results.
• A valid driver’s license is required to operate company vehicles.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, efficient service to customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks and trailers.
• Diagnose wear conditions and make recommendations in collaboration with TSA or Manager.
• Complete repairs within capabilities and defined procedures.
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report unsafe situations.

Job Summary

Our Truck Service team is comprised of nearly 3,000 highlyskilled technicians and spans coast to coast. With over 280 locations acrossthe country, TA Truck Service has a solid foundation and a forward-thinkingvision. As a level one Technician, you will provide accurate, efficient serviceto customers by troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucksand trailers in a professional and accommodating manner. Our Technicians ensurewe are returning every traveler to the road better than they came!

In this role, you can expect to:

• Work in a fun, trusting environment focused on providing great service where the expectations of the customer are exceeded
• Have extensive knowledge of the products we sell and the services we provide
• Diagnose wear conditions and together with TSA or Manager, makes recommendations to customers
• Complete repairs within their capabilities and as written
• Understand Truck Service Standard Services and specialized customer programs
• Follow safety guidelines and reports potentially unsafe situations caused by team members and/or customers.

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Prior verifiable truck service experience preferred
• Heavy duty ASE certifications not required, but a plus
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays in interior and exterior conditions
• A valid driver’s license

Pay Range

$22.00 - 27.00 per hour

In this role, the team member is regularly required to talkand hear.
