Job summary

Interstate Power Systems is seeking a skilled Construction Equipment Diesel Technician in Carol Stream, IL to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment and off-road machinery. You will work on diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and run diagnostics both in shop and at customer sites.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment, proficiency with diagnostic software, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience repairing heavy construction equipment.
• Strong hydraulic troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience with excavators, loaders, telehandlers, dozers, cranes.
• Proficiency with diagnostic software and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read hydraulic and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel-powered construction and heavy equipment.
• Troubleshoot engine, transmission, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and service manuals to identify failures.
• Perform component repairs and replacements to minimize downtime.
• Field service on customer sites.
• Safety and compliance with OSHA requirements.
• Complete service documentation accurately.
