Republic Services in Spartanburg, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician C to perform preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. You will assist drivers, service vehicles, and learn new technologies, contributing to a reliable fleet as part of a growing, safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• ASE Certification is preferred for this role.
• 1-3 years of maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver's License is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Maintains knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs.
• Performs oil changes, fluids replenishment, tire changes and light repairs.
• Carries out basic electrical work and visual inspections to identify issues.
• Completes required company training programs and follows SOPs.
• Assists with other job-related duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, a Maintenance Technician C performs preventive maintenance on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. This position requires basic knowledge of vehicle systems to perform routine maintenance and repair. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintains a basic knowledge of a vehicle's mechanical and electrical systems to perform basic preventive maintenance and some repair functions. Areas of equipment maintenance may include vehicle preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments; Oil changes and fluids replenishment; Adjustments and light repairs, including tire changes; and Basic electrical work, such as light changes. Able to conduct visual inspections to identify potential equipment issues and the sources of malfunctions using a variety of tools. Completes applicable Company training programs. Performs other job-related duties as assigned or apparent.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Completion of a certified diesel maintenance program is a plus but not required.
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification
• T8 PM is a plus but not required.
• 1-3 years of experience
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and troubleshoot common faults.
• Valid Driver's License is preferred
