Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group. We are seeking a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty mechanical repair with on-the-job training toward Service Journeyman status.

The role involves engine, electrical, transmission, braking and cooling systems work, following safety procedures and maintaining a tidy shop while supporting the Shop Foreman as needed. CDL preferred and relevant certifications are required or encouraged.

Qualificações

• Minimum three years hands-on diesel repair experience or vocational training.
• A/C and Brake system certification required.
• DOT Annual Inspector Certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience on engine overhaul, fuel, electrical, transmissions, cooling, brakes, and maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area and proper tool handling.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic. The role of the Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic performs heavy-duty mechanical repair under general supervision, receiving on the job training in a development program to achieve Service Journeyman status.

• Performs and/or assists in the performance of general mechanical duties.
• Gains experience by working on the following items with minimal supervision: engine overhaul, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, engine tune-up, and general maintenance.
• Works on major components with close supervision.
• Performs trouble shooting on minor problems.
• Attends training sessions and meetings.
• Maintains a neat and orderly working area, and proper handling of company tools.
• Advises the Shop Foreman if additional repair work is necessary.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely and seeks assistance when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
