Job summary

GPAC, a premier equipment dealership in Eastern Oregon, is seeking a Diesel Service Technician with John Deere training or solid diesel engine experience for a high-tech shop in the Blue Mountain region.

Diagnose and repair agricultural and turf equipment, perform maintenance, and use Service ADVISOR software. You’ll support Precision Ag tech and document all work, with overtime and incentives to boost earnings up to the top of the $100k range.

Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience as a John Deere technician OR at least 2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic working on heavy equipment or agricultural machinery.
• Technical knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• License: Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics & Repair: Perform advanced diagnostics and service repairs on agricultural and turf equipment, including engines, transmissions, and hydraulic systems.
• Maintenance: Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on customer-owned and dealer-owned machinery.
• Technology Integration: Utilize specialized diagnostic software (Service ADVISOR™) to identify and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Precision Ag: Support and repair Integrated Solutions and Precision Ag technology (GPS and guidance systems).
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all service work performed.
