Job summary

Butler Machinery invites applications for a Diesel Service Technician. This full-time role focuses on maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of agricultural equipment with opportunities for overtime and travel to other Butler locations. Strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to learning are essential.

Qualifications

Customer experience is essential for effective service.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Proficient computer technology skills.
Strong organizational skills are required.
Must have valid work authorization in the U.S.
Willingness to acquire trade-specific tooling.
Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.
Preferred degree or certificate in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
Troubleshooting capabilities within all diesel technology systems and componentry.
Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x for hours over 8 per day.
Proactively maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Work independently and as part of a high performing team.
Commitment to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards.
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
Travel to other Butler locations and customer sites as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
