Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) in the Richmond, VA area. You will perform maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment, ensuring safety and professionalism.

The role includes possible travel to customer sites and assisting with parts delivery. Applicants should have a high school diploma, own their tools, and demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of diverse rental equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, diesel)
• Assist in training lower level technicians
• Maintain work orders and documentation daily
• Travel to customer sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer-owned equipment
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts
• Other duties as assigned
