WM is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our Melbourne, FL shop on a 2nd shift (2:00 pm start) with Monday–Friday hours and occasional Saturdays. You will service trucks and equipment, use modern tools, and help maintain a fleet that serves millions across the USA.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Perform work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles – safety of every single employee and the community.
• Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assist senior Mechanics in project work.
• Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following OSHA standards.
