Pennsy Supply Inc, a CRH company, is seeking a part-time maintenance/mechanics student to gain hands-on experience in diesel mechanics. You will work closely with skilled technicians, supporting diagnosis, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and real-world shop exposure, with training on work orders, inventory systems, and regulatory compliance. High school diploma or GED and enrollment in a technical college are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Enrolled in a Technical College degree program.
• Basic computer skills are needed.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize personal safety and maintain safety standards on the job site.
• Gain hands-on experience with different types of heavy equipment under supervision.
• Assist in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues with guidance from experienced technicians.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
• Support troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities as needed.
• Receive training on work orders, inventory systems, and vehicle condition reporting.
• Adhere to state and federal regulations (DOT, OSHA, MSHA) and company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and collaborate with team members on tasks.
