Job summary

Rush Truck Leasing is seeking a Service Technician to provide service to customers while delivering exceptional customer service. This role includes cleaning, maintenance, visual inspection, and removal of parts and attachments.

Installation with manuals, report writing, disassembly, assembly, parts reuse evaluation, and reconditioning are also involved. The technician will read job orders, listen to the vehicle in operation to determine malfunctions, inspect guards and safety devices, and tag

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility.
• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets insurability guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical service to vehicles and equipment.
• Perform general and detailed repair of all trucks, engines and components.
• Overhaul gas or diesel engines.
• Read job order, observe and listen to vehicle in operation to determine malfunction and plan work procedures.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and make adjustments as needed.
• Tag all warranty parts and returns to warranty clerk.
• Attend training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.

Basic Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)


• 2 years’ experience as a Class 7 & 8 technician in a dealership or related truck service facility


• Must possess a current and valid driver license with a driving record that meets the insurability guidelines set forth by the company’s insurance carrier.


• Current and valid CDL and Medical card as required by the FMVS preferred but not required.

Minimum Pay Rate

USD $23.00/Hr.

Maximum Pay Rate

USD $41.00/Hr.
