Performance Food Group is seeking a fleet maintenance technician to perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and dollies under minimal supervision.
You will ensure compliance with trucking regulations, document work orders, and assist with road-call services. The role offers a 4-day work week (Sun-Wed, night shift), a $10,000 sign-on bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

A team of sales reps, chefs, consultants, and other experts builds close relationships with customers – providing advice on improving operations, menu development, product selection, and operational strategies. Perform preventative maintenance of medium to heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, reefer units, and converter dollies under minimal supervision. Ensure compliance with all state and federal trucking regulations. Communicate and interact with co‑workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner. Technicians are responsible for documenting, completing, and keeping work orders current for all repairs and parts used daily. The position will be required to perform road‑call services as needed.
Required Education: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
Required Experience: 2+ years of proven medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire & wheel work, air and air‑disc brake diagnostics, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and experience in A/C refrigeration.
Preferred Education: Associate’s/2‑year technical vocational or trade school diploma.
Preferred Experience: 3+ years of proven medium to heavy‑duty vehicle repair, including preventive maintenance, tire & wheel work, air and air‑disc brake diagnostics, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, electronic component repair, and experience in A/C refrigeration.
Preferred Professional Certifications: Prefer certifications in tire & wheel, brakes, A/C, EPA, DOT inspections, transmissions, engines, ASEAN Heavy Duty.
