Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Massachusetts is seeking a skilled fleet technician to diagnose and repair medium to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. You will work with road calls as needed and maintain documentation of all repairs.

This role offers a 4-day work week, competitive pay from $34.10 to $44.35 per hour plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus, tool and boot allowances, uniforms, and day-one benefits. Safety training, potential growth opportunities, and a supportive team environment are emphasized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent is required.
• 5–7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair experience including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting and electronic component repair.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in A/C refrigeration.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on fleet diesel equipment and standard component inspections/repairs, identifying root causes and performing repairs as required.
• Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheels, and related parts; replace as needed.
• Ensure equipment has valid licensing/registration prior to roadworthiness.
• Document all repairs and PM activities in the Enterprise Asset Management system.
• Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
• Train other employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
