Kooner Fleet Management Solutions is hiring a Mobile Mechanic/Technician to perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light to medium-duty vehicles in a field environment. You’ll work with a team that supports you, handling emergencies, inspections, and routine service to keep fleets road-ready.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on light to medium-duty vehicles.
• Respond to on-site emergency roadside service requests.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, brake, cooling, and air systems using diagnostic tools.
• Road test vehicles after repairs to ensure quality and safety.
• Work in a mobile field environment with dispatch coordination.

About the Mobile Mechanic/Technician Role

As a Mobile Mechanic/Technician, you’ll be the expert our customers rely on to keep their fleets on the road. This field-based role is perfect for skilled technicians who enjoy independence and variety in their work. You’ll be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on light and medium-duty vehicles, including emergency roadside service when needed.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday, 6:00PM - 3:00AM

Where You’ll Make an Impact

• Perform onsite preventative maintenance, DOT inspections and follow up repairsto light and medium duty vehicles ina mobile field environment.

• Handle emergency road service calls with confidence and urgency.

• Respond to dispatch requests for scheduled and unscheduled service or maintenance.

• Diagnose and repairelectrical, brake, cooling, and air systems - everything that keeps a fleet running strong.

• Use advanced diagnostic tools, including handheld computers and precision instruments, to identify and fix issues fast.

• Put your expertise to work using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to get the job done right.

• Road test vehicles to ensure every repair meets top-quality standards.

• Stay productive and efficient, meeting or beating industry-standard repair times.

• Work with trusted vendors to source parts and keep operations moving.

• Take ownership of a company-issued service truck, perform maintenance and pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensuring safety compliance.

• Jump in wherever needed – we're a team that supports each other.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• At least 3 years of hands-on auto or diesel tech experience working on light to medium duty vehicles.

• Strong communication skills – you know how to connect and communicate with customers and drivers alike.

• Comfortable using mobile apps, navigation systems and digital tools to stay organized and document repairs.

• Ready for the outdoors – rain or shine at customer yards.

• Independent, dependable, and self-motivated – you take pride in getting the job done right.

• A positive attitude and safety-first mindset.

• Must be 23+ with a clean driving record and a valid driver’s license.

Work Environment

• Work in dynamic, high-traffic areas – safety and precision are key.

• Expect exposure to dust, diesel fumes, and noise typical of a shop or yard environment.

• Be ready to lift, move, and position heavy equipment or components.

• Stay active – you'll bend, kneel, crawl, and crouch to access vehicle components.
