Hunter Truck in Pennsville, NJ is hiring Diesel Mechanic Technicians of all skill levels. The role offers day to evening shifts, with pay ranging from $17.00 to $45.00 per hour based on experience and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for Expert and Master levels.

Responsibilities include performing repairs, diagnosing issues, assisting senior technicians, coordinating with parts, and documenting work. Safe, compliant operations are emphasized in a family-owned culture since 1938.

Formación

• Experience across entry to master level diesel technician roles.
• Valid Driver’s License required; insurability standards apply.
• Ability to perform a range of repairs from minor to advanced.

POSITION AT A GLANCE

Location: Pennsville, NJ

Position Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Day, afternoon, and evening shifts available! Hunter Pennsville is open from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM

Pay: $17.00 – $45.00 per hour - Based on experience

Sign-On Bonus: Earn up to $5,000 for Expert and Master-Level Diesel Technicians!

What You’ll Do

• Perform minor to advanced repairs as outlined on the repair order
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and complete repairs as directed by a supervisor
• Assist other technicians on major repairs
• Communicate with the parts department to obtain needed parts
• Save and tag warranty or customer-requested parts
• Examine vehicles for additional safety or service needs
• Document all work performed and recommended, including warranty information
• Road test vehicles as required or refer to test technician
• Keep work area, service truck, and customer vehicles clean and organized
• Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor
• Stay current on manufacturer technical bulletins
• Follow all federal, state, and local regulations, and adhere to Hunter Truck safety policies

Expert To Master Levels Will Also

• Handle complex mechanical and electrical issues with minimal supervision
• Performs electrical and/or air conditioning system repairs.
• Performs major component repairs and/or overhauls

What You Bring

• Education & Experience: We’re hiring technicians at all experience levels—from entry-level candidates with up to 3 years of experience to highly skilled professionals with 5+ years in the field.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver’s License required; must meet company insurability standards. A one-year certificate from a college or vocational/technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and hands‑on experience, is preferred.
• Physical Requirements: Regular standing and use of hands; frequent walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling; regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs , frequently up to 100 lbs , and occasionally more than 100 lbs. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
