Job summary

WM (Waste Management) seeks a Diesel Mechanic for their Saint Cloud, MN site. You’ll inspect and repair a range of vehicles, with opportunities for overtime and a comprehensive benefits package. Starting pay ranges hourly with a $5,000 sign-on bonus and various allowances.

Typical schedule is Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays. Qualified candidates have 2+ years of experience, a valid license, and the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Be over 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Ability to perform physical requirements with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
• Work within our Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Safety checks on vehicles and maintain a safe work area per OSHA standards.
• Complete required paperwork documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Assist senior Mechanics in project work.
• Review or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
