Job summary

DCS Asset Maintenance is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair trucks, diesel equipment, and snow removal gear. The role focuses on reliability and high-quality service during snow events with strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

The ideal candidate has experience with diesel/gas engines, hydraulics/electrical systems, welding, and must be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends. CDL-B preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training preferred.
• Proven experience repairing heavy trucks (diesel and gas) and snow removal gear.
• Welding experience required and must supply own tools.
• CDL Class B preferred but not required; able to travel locally.
• Must pass background check and DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline trucks and snow equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Repair hydraulic and electrical systems including plows and spreaders.
• Conduct emergency field service during snow events.
• Assist with fabrication, welding, and modifications as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of work and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations; keep shop clean.
