Job summary

United Rentals, the world’s largest equipment rental provider, is hiring a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech II) in Irving, Texas. You’ll perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and minor repairs on diverse rental equipment with a focus on safety and quality service.

You’ll document work orders, demonstrate equipment to customers, and assist with pickup/delivery of gear and parts. A driver’s license, 1–2 years of related experience, and own tools are required for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must own tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance and repair of rental equipment and tools involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner.
• Demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
