Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level III in Union City, NJ to perform advanced maintenance and repairs on a wide range of ground support equipment. This full-time role requires 6 years of verified experience, and you must provide your own tools.

Work shifts include Tue–Sat 10:00am–8:30pm with a pay range of $32.00–$35.00 per hour. You will diagnose, repair, and overhaul mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, log work, and ensure compliance with safety

Qualifications

• 6 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work to be done on each piece.
• Inspect, Maintain, Troubleshoot, Replace, Repair, Overhaul or Modify: engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Guaranteed full-time hours!

Tues-Sat 10:00am - 8:30pm

$32.00-$35.00

As a GSE Mechanic Level III, your primary responsibility will be repairing and maintaining both motorized and non-motorized Airline & Aircraft Ground Service Equipment. In this role, you will carry out advanced maintenance and repairs on a wide range of ground support equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work to be done oneach piece
• Inspect, Maintain, Troubleshoot, Replace, Repair, Overhaul or Modify:
• Engines and transmissions
• Electrical systems
• Brakes and braking systems
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems on mobile lift and conveyor systems
• Bumpers and body work
• Bag cart curtains & curtain rods
• Towing hitches and towing bars
• Undercarriages, wheels and tires
• Bushings, shafts, end places, springs, coils, armatures, push rods,valves, manifolds, tubing, hose and wiring
• Diagnose, Troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulicissues in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, industry standards andsafety regulations
• Remove, test, repair or replace components and accessories such ascarburetors, governors, air and oil cleaners, ignition points and auditorysensors
• Check and adjust tolerance of valves, bearings, cams, clutches and driveshafts
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment
• Completed associated paperwork and track parts
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe workingenvironment for yourself and your colleagues
• Exemplify PrimeFlight customer service and safety standards
• Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

• 18 years of age or older
• Eligible to work in the United States
• 6 years of verified experience required
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable drivingrecord
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically,including the use of electronic devices including IPads/Tablets, Computers,and Mobile Devices
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person andthrough electronic means
• Pass a background check and drug screen
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, TSA, PortAuthority, U.S. Customs and U.S. Postal- as applicable)
• Airlines are 24/7, so we need our team members to be flexible to work variousshifts including nights, weekends and holidays
