Job summary

Mechanics Hub in Wolfforth, Texas is seeking a Diesel Mechanic II with 2+ years of heavy truck experience. You will diagnose and repair systems, test drive to verify work, and ensure compliance with safety and DOT standards.

Responsibilities include on-site road calls, accurate time/parts logging, and collaboration with the Lead Technician to address unsafe conditions. CDL is preferred, but training is provided. Benefits are included.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Medium/Heavy truck repair.
• Strong diagnostic skills.
• Proficiency in electrical systems, diesel equipment and AC repair.
• Valid state driver’s license; CDL preferred (training available).
• A background check and DOT requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including steering, electrical, cooling, braking, and drivetrain.
• Conduct test drives to confirm repair effectiveness.
• Obtain required inspections and approvals for major repairs before releasing vehicles.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace and log time, parts and services accurately.
• Provide on-site repairs during road calls and support Lead Technician on safety issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:Diagnose and repair vehicle systems, including steering, electrical, cooling, braking, and drivetrain, while ensuring compliance with regulations.Conduct test drives to confirm the effectiveness of repairs.Obtain required inspections and approvals for major repairs before releasing vehicles.Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in adherence to safety standards.Identify and report additional maintenance or repairs needed during service.Log time, parts, and services accurately for each job.Provide on-site repairs during road calls as needed.Collaborate with the Lead Technician to address unsafe maintenance conditions or practices. Requirements:2+ years of experience in Medium/Heavy truck repair, with strong diagnostic skills.Proficiency in electrical systems, diesel equipment, and AC repair.Ownership of recommended hand tools for the role.Valid state driver’s license required CDL preferred. Training available for those who need to obtain a CDL after hire.ASE Certification preferred but not required.
