Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of verifiable, full-time experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Caterpillar repair certification from an accredited vocational/technical training program.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel and internal combustion engine theory and components.
• Comfort and skill with powered drills, grinders, hones, and specialty mechanic's tools.
• A valid CDL, or the willingness to obtain one quickly after joining the team.
• Your own set of mechanic's tools (a full list is provided) — four weeks to round it out.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical maintenance across a wide equipment fleet: trucks, semi-trucks, cranes, loaders, forklifts, pumps, and compressors.
• Use parts lists, manuals, and schematics to accurately diagnose issues and specify replacement parts.
• Keep clean, organized equipment logs and a well-maintained work area.
• Step in as an equipment operator when needed, and take on new challenges as they come up.
