Job summary

Colville, Inc. seeks a dependable Oiler to join our Transport maintenance team in Fairbanks, Alaska. You will assist with preventive maintenance, inspections, and service of light- and heavy-duty vehicles, helping keep the fleet safe and reliable.

Based at the Fairbanks shop, you will support experienced mechanics, troubleshoot issues, and maintain records. This role requires a valid driver's license and a strong safety mindset in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in diesel or heavy-equipment maintenance preferred.
An apprenticeship in diesel or automotive technology is a plus.
Basic mechanical knowledge required.
Real time experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, inspections, service, and minor repairs on light- and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Service and maintain equipment components, including tanks, pumps, and fuel-transfer equipment as applicable.
Respond to service needs and assist with repairs in the shop or field when required.
Perform routine inspections and daily maintenance checks.
Identify maintenance concerns and communicate repair needs to appropriate team members.
Maintain accurate service and maintenance records as required.
Track materials, parts, and supplies used during maintenance and repair activities.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
Follow company safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
Maintain productive working relationships with mechanics, drivers, operations personnel, and other team members.
Perform other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.
