Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking a highly motivated Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair diesel trucks and heavy equipment in Hazleton, PA. You will diagnose, inspect, and service equipment, perform major component repairs, and support field service calls as needed.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 5 years of diesel repair experience, strong diagnostic skills, welding/fabrication experience, and owns their own tools. A Class B CDL is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical training in Diesel Mechanics preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of diesel repair experience.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Welding/fabrication experience required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Repair or replace major components including engines, drivetrains, hydraulics, electrical, fuel, brake, and suspension systems.
• Conduct test drives to verify repairs.
• Respond to field service calls as needed.
• Assist with fabrication and equipment builds.
• Maintain accurate repair records and shop organization.
• Follow all safety and compliance standards.
