Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) in Daytona Beach, FL to perform safe maintenance and repairs on complex rental equipment.

You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems while providing excellent customer service and teamwork within the Service Department. Required are a high school diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years of hands-on repair experience, own tool set, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment.
• Own tools applicable to position.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of engines.

Responsibilities

• Safe maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems).
• Assist in training lower-level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders).
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
