Swift Transportation is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in Edwardsville, KS, to maintain and repair a large fleet of trucks and trailers. The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and documentation to keep operations safe and efficient.

You'll join a team receiving OEM training and ongoing opportunities for career growth, with competitive pay and benefits. The position requires a valid driver's license and the ability to pass screenings. Shift is Tue–Sat, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Entry-level knowledge of vehicle systems and basic maintenance preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to read repair manuals and complete work orders.
• Willingness to learn diagnostic software and new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on tractors, trailers, refrigerated units, and support equipment.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicle and equipment issues.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble heavy truck and trailer components.
• Perform tire maintenance, repairs, inspections, and failure analysis.
• Ensure all work meets OEM, DOT, and company standards.
• Complete repair orders and maintenance documentation accurately.
