Job summary

Northern Plains Railroad, Inc. is hiring a Diesel Mechanic / Electrician in Lansford, ND. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain diesel-electric locomotives, electrical systems, engines, motors, generators, and related components in a busy shop and field environment.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 07:00-16:00 with overtime as needed; travel up to 30%; safety-focused team collaboration; compensation is $30-$40 per hour.

Responsibilities

• The Diesel Mechanic/Electrician installs and maintains electrical wiring and equipment on railroad locomotives, including motors, generators, air-conditioning units, outlets and lighting fixtures.
• Diesel mechanics inspect, repair and maintain locomotive engines and mechanical components on diesel, electric, heavy equipment and small engines.
