United Rentals is hiring in Pascagoula, MS for an equipment mechanic who will safely maintain and repair customer-owned equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems. You will document work orders daily and assist with equipment deliveries and pickups at customer sites.

We seek candidates with a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, 3–5 years of equipment repair experience, and strong mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Safe maintenance and repair of equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) daily.
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; maintain service vehicle in a clean, professional manner.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
• Other duties assigned as needed.

What you'll do:

• Safe maintenance and repair of a variety of complex customer owned equipment involving mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems
• Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily basis
• Upsell and demonstrate a wide array of complex equipment for customers
• When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicle in a clean and professional manner
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts
• Other duties assigned as needed

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• 3-5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
• Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background knowledge of various engines
• Must own tools applicable to position
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
