Job summary

South Hills Movers in Bethel Park, PA, seeks a Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of medium and heavy trucks with gas and diesel engines. The role focuses on inspections, PMs, and repairs, with overtime availability.

You will work Monday–Friday with daytime shifts; CDL is preferred; we offer medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid holidays, PTO, 401(k), and company-paid STD/LTD.

Qualifications

• Technical school or relevant shop experience.
• CDL Class A/B preferred but not required.
• Class 7 Inspection License preferred but not required.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Bodywork/painting experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections and PM services on fleet vehicles and trailers.
• Repair and maintain medium/heavy trucks with gas and diesel engines.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

South Hills Movers is family owned and has been operating for over 99 years, South Hills Movers is a safety-first company and recognized for exceptional local moving, nationwide moving and office moving services.

We currently have an immediate opening for a Diesel Mechanic at our Bethel Park shop. The Diesel Mechanic will maintain and repair company fleet of medium and heavy trucks with gas and diesel engines.

Duties and responsibilities for a Diesel Mechanic include:

• Assist with performing state/federal/DOT inspections
• PM services and repairs on class 1 - 8 fleet vehicles and fleet trailers
• Assist with other duties as assigned

Qualifications for a Diesel Mechanic:

• Technical school and/or relevant shop experience
• Class A or B CDL (preferred, but not required) South Hills Movers will offer employees to obtain their Class A CDL
• Class 7 Inspection License (preferred, but not required)
• Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test
• Bodywork/painting experiencea plus

Schedule is Monday - Friday 7-4 or 8-5, or as scheduled, and overtime shift differentials.
Pay: $27.00 per hour
