Job summary

WM is hiring a Diesel Mechanic in the St. Louis, MO area to service trucks and equipment across the U.S.

You will diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension and braking systems, estimate repair costs, and ensure safe, compliant work practices in a dynamic shop environment. The role offers a 2nd shift, Monday–Friday with occasional Saturdays, stable hours and a robust benefits package including healthcare, tool and boot allowances, tuition assistance and a 401(k) match, plus adoption

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of relevant mechanic experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of trucks and equipment.
• Estimate time and material costs for repairs and parts.
• Complete required paperwork and document parts usage and repair times.
• Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety standards.
