North East Transportation Co. Inc.

is seeking a maintenance technician to perform preventive maintenance and inspections on the CTtransit Waterbury division City Transit and Paratransit bus fleet, and to support vehicles in a modern, state-of-the-art facility. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in the mechanics field; CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements are required or obtainable within 6 months with company assistance.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year experience in preventative maintenance/mechanics.
• CDL license with passenger and air brake endorsement required or to be obtained within 6 months of employment.
• Transit experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on CTtransit Waterbury bus fleet.
• Maintain upkeep of support vehicles in a state-of-the-art facility.

Job Overview

Responsible for preventative maintenance and inspection of the CTtransit Waterbury division City Transit and Paratransit bus fleet as well as support vehicles. Working in state of the art bus maintenance facility. Vehicle maintenance staff play a critical role in making sure all vehicles are safe and up to standards.

Wages & Benefits

$30.00 to $38.50 per hour based on knowledge, experience, and certification.

Full-time position minimum of 40 hours per week.
