Amerit Fleet Solutions in Woodhaven, MI is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to keep a fleet running safely and efficiently. This role offers weekly pay and full benefits after 30 days, with opportunities for growth at a national company.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and document repairs. The schedule is Tue-Sat 9:00 AM–5:30 PM; pay ranges $33–$43 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on diesel maintenance and repairs.
• Strong diagnostic & troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to manage own tools.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to meet the physical demands of the job.
• Eligible for pre-employment screenings including DOT if required.

Pay Frequency Weekly pay - every Friday

Schedule Tuesday - Saturday 900AM - 530PM

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ of hands-on experience performing diesel vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to own and maintain the personal tools and toolbox required for the role
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Willingness and ability to meet the physical demands of the position (detailed below)
• Must be eligible to pass standard pre-employment screenings, including drug screen and DOT physical (if required)

Working Conditions

This role involves working in a mobile and or shop environment that may include exposure to dust, diesel fumes, noise, and mechanical irritants such as oils and greases. Technicians must be able to perform essential functions that include lifting heavy objects, accessing tight spaces, and bending, stooping, crouching, or crawling as needed to complete repairs.
