Qualifications

• MVR/drug test screening.
• Ability to move equipment weighing 50 pounds.
• Basic computer skills for fleet software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and diagnose issues on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Repair engine, brake, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform 90-day DOT inspections and routine fluid maintenance.
• Operate the service truck for on-site repairs and field maintenance.
• Drive the service truck for field repairs and maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Chrisp Company, a leader in the highway improvement construction industry for over 40 years, is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our shop in Stockton, California.

Hours:

Monday - Friday
10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Occasional overtime as necessary

Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections and diagnose issues on trucks, trailers, and related equipment.


• Diagnose and repair issues in engine, brake, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system.


• Conduct 90-day DOT inspections and perform routine fluid maintenance services.


• Operate the facility service truck to perform on-site repairs and maintenance as needed.


• Drive facility service truck for field repairs and maintenance as needed.


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Consent to a motor vehicle record (MVR) check and drug test as part of the pre-employment screening process.


• Maintain a driving record that meets the standards of our insurance provider.


• Routinely moves equipment weighing 50 pounds.


• Basic computer skills to be able to use fleet management software.


• Experience working on Cummins engines.


• HD/IM Certified.


• Willing to work overtime when needed.

• Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems and components
