Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC is seeking a skilled full-time Diesel Mechanic with preferred snowplow experience to maintain and repair trucks, diesel equipment, and snow-removal machinery. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to keep equipment in top condition for reliable snow operations.

Major duties include diagnosing diesel/gas engines, performing preventive maintenance, repairing hydraulic/electrical systems, and conducting field service

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Technical educational training in Mechanics is preferred.
• Proven experience repairing heavy trucks (diesel and gas).
• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Prior experience with snowplows and snow removal equipment strongly preferred.
• Welding experience required.
• Must supply own tools.
• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts during snow events.
• Must pass a background check and DOT drug test.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel and gasoline-powered trucks and snow removal equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime during snow events.
• Repair and maintain hydraulic and electrical systems, including plows, salt spreaders, and related attachments.
• Conduct emergency field service repairs as needed during snow operations.
• Assist with fabrication, welding, and modifications to equipment when required.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state safety requirements.
• Keep tools, equipment, and shop areas clean and safe.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support snow operations.

The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to keep equipment in top condition to ensure reliable operations.

• Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Prior experience with snowplows and snow removal equipment strongly preferred.
• Welding experience required.
• Must supply own tools.
• Ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and on-call shifts during snow events.
• Must be able to travel locally for field service calls.
• Class B CDL preferred but not required.
• Must pass a background check and DOT drug test.
