Job summary

Continental Express Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic for a day shift to maintain and repair our tractors and trailers. The role focuses on diagnosing issues, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring work complies with federal and state regulations.

Starting hourly wages range from $20.00 to $30.00 based on experience, with opportunities for quarterly increases and benefits including health, dental, vision, life, and a company-matching 401(k).

Qualifications

• Experience as a diesel mechanic with heavy trucks.
• Knowledge of federal and state codes.
• Experience with Freightliners and Detroit motors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot system issues with diagnostic programs and other techniques.
• Diagnose, repair and replace components and/or damaged parts.
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, and other wear components.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Ensure completed work meets federal and state codes/regulations.
• Work collaboratively with other Technicians to evaluate and repair equipment.
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor.

Continental Express Inc. is a full-service transportation company that specializes in hauling refrigerated food products with a fleet of 500 semi trucks and 1200 refrigerated trailers. We are seeking an experience Diesel Mechanic for a day shift position to perform maintenance and repairs on our tractors. Experience with Freightliners and Detroit motors preferred.Tuesday to Saturday schedule.

Starting Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Troubleshoot system issues with diagnostic programs and other techniques
• Diagnose, repair and replace components and/or damaged parts
• Repair and replace tires, brakes, and other wear components
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment
• Ensure completed work meets federal and state codes/regulations
• Work collaboratively with other Technicians to evaluate and repair equipment
• Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by Supervisor
