Job summary

Ryder System is hiring a Diesel Mechanic to keep our transportation fleet safe, reliable, and road-ready in a on-site shop setting in San Diego, CA. You will diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and related equipment in compliance with Ryder and DOT standards.

You'll work in a safety-first, team-based shop, using modern diagnostic tools and gaining access to continuous technical training and advancement opportunities across Ryder’s North American

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing diesel engines in a heavy vehicle fleet.
• Skilled in preventive maintenance and safety standards (DOT compliance).
• Ability to document work accurately and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot engines, brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
