Job summary

United Rentals, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic I to perform maintenance and minor repairs on rental equipment at our Phoenix service location. You will conduct inspections, ensure equipment is rental-ready, and demonstrate equipment to customers while maintaining a strong safety focus.

Strong mechanical aptitude, a valid driver's license, and solid teamwork are required. This is a safety-sensitive position with opportunities to advance within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of tools.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use.
• Report machine condition to management and perform minor repairs.
• Demonstrate equipment to customers.
• Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Adhere to safety procedures and company policies.
• Other duties as needed.
