Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain equipment and vehicles.
• Perform preventative maintenance (engine tune-ups, oil changes, tires, filters).

• Replace defective parts and document service and repairs.
• Ensure safe, clean, and organized work area; follow safety policies.
• Work at satellite sites within a 10-mile radius.
• Maintain equipment records and knowledge of parts ordering.

DIESEL MECHANIC OPENING WITH A LARGE LOGISTICS COMPANY IN PAULSBORO NJ

PAY RANGE: $30 HR

OPEN TO CANDIDATES ON ALL 3 SHIFTS

MUST HAVE TWIC CARD OR BE OPEN TO GETTING IT

Primary Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and maintain equipment and vehicles to ensure proper working condition
• Perform preventative maintenance including engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and filter replacements
• Diagnose and repair engine failures and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system malfunctions
• Replace defective parts and components as needed
• Listen to and assess operator complaints to identify and resolve equipment issues
• Verify vehicle capability through test drives and adjustment of controls and systems
• Maintain accurate equipment records by documenting all service and repairs
• Possess a basic knowledge of parts and parts ordering processes
• Keep vehicles clean and well-maintained in appearance
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area at all times
• Follow all company safety policies and utilize safe working practices
• Ability to work at satellite sites within a 10-mile radius
