Job summary

Ag-Pro Companies is seeking a skilled service technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain agricultural and turf equipment in Ohio. You will work on customer and dealer-owned machines, following manuals, safety rules, and internal processes.

Applicants should have 5+ years of experience in heavy equipment service, strong mechanical/electrical/hydraulic knowledge, and proficiency with Service Advisor and computer tasks. A valid driver’s license is required; forklift license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs on heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment.
• Ability to perform basic and advanced repairs using manuals and special tools.
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems in heavy equipment.
• Experience with Service Advisor and basic computer functions.
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic diagnostics and reports on equipment and AMS products.
• Participates in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
• Maintains knowledge of John Deere and competitive products.
• Keeps vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment in good condition.
• Follows safety rules and completes required reports and forms.
• Accounts for time and materials in timekeeping systems.
• All other duties as assigned.

Description

Performs basic diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned agricultural and turf equipment. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Shop Foreman or senior technicians.

Responsibilities:

• Performs basic diagnostics and reports on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products.
• Participates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge.
• Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and Competitive products.
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment.
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments
• Accounts for all time in the time keeping systems and for all material used in performing assigned duties.
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Experience

• 5+ years of experience performing service repairs on heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment
• Ability to perform basic and advanced repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual Procedures
• Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of heavy construction and/or agricultural equipment.
• Ability to use Service Advisor and basic computer functions
• Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
• Proficient oral and written communication skills
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred
• Valid driver's license
• Fork lift license preferred
