Bay Disposal in Norfolk, VA is seeking a safety-conscious Diesel Mechanic to join the team. Pay rate ranges from $27 to $35 per hour with stay-on bonuses and overtime eligibility, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing diesel vehicles and related electrical/hydraulic systems.
• Ability to operate fleet maintenance software and document repairs.
• Able to work Monday-Friday with some Saturdays; lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs on diesel vehicles including electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Use vehicle computer electronics to diagnose failure modes and initiate repairs.
• Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance.
• Document repairs, parts usage and repair times in the fleet maintenance software.
• Review Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports and complete required repairs.

Bay Disposal is looking for a safety conscious Diesel Mechanic to join the team in Norfolk, VA .

Pay rate: $27 - $35/hr

• Performs repairs (including electrical and hydraulic systems) and assigned preventive maintenance services.
• Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
• Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
• Reviews and completes repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
