Job description

The Mechanic is in charge of working within the Maintenance department with repair, troubleshooting, and providing preventative maintenance to our vehicle fleet.

Duties include performing mechanical repairs of our fleet vehicles, sweeping, cleaning and organizing garage and storage areas & restroom, driving vehicles between facilities (CDL Class B needed), performing minor painting (bumpers, wheels and floors), refueling all vehicles (Diesel, gasoline and propane). Check lighting and replace burnt blubs, clean oil and water separator tanks, must have mechanical abilities, assist mechanics as necessary, wash vehicles as necessary, check all vehicle fluid levels, assist with all PM’s and change flat tires on our vehicle fleet.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience required
• An excellent attendance record
• Ability to speak, read, and understand English
• Strong Knowledge of commercial vehicles and mechanical/repair knowledge (Certifications Preferred)
• Full compliance will all work rules and regulations
• Flexibility, able to react to changing priorities
• Ability to communicate with Customers/Coworkers
• Organizational skills
