United Rentals in Gastonia, NC is seeking a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) to perform maintenance and minor repairs on pumps, troubleshoot and service equipment, and provide excellent customer service. The role offers opportunities for advancement within the Service Department while working in a safety-conscious environment.

You will travel to customer sites, document service work, and mentor lower-level technicians, with a focus on reliability and efficiency across our Fluid division.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of construction equipment.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge with engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position.
• Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
