Job summary

Butler Machinery seeks a Diesel Lube Technician in Pierre, SD. You will perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on agriculture equipment to meet customer needs. The role supports safety, teamwork, and ongoing training to stay current with industry standards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to provide an excellent customer experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proficient computer technology skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to acquire trade-specific tooling.
• Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agriculture equipment and systems.
• Troubleshoot diesel technology systems (hydraulics, electrical, power trains).
• Overtime potential: anything over 8 hours is paid at 1.5x hourly rate.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Work independently and as part of a high performing team.
• Commit to lifelong learning and training to stay ahead of industry standards.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Occasional travel to other Butler locations.
• Other duties as assigned.
