Job summary

C&S Sweeping in Tucson, AZ seeks a Diesel / Hydraulic Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical lines, and airbrakes on Company vehicles and equipment. The role involves using power tools and hand tools on heavy road construction trucks and related machinery.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, DOT inspections, and collaborating with operators to diagnose issues. Some travel and operation of Street Sweeper may be required.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of mechanical experience.
• Excellent knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and air-brake systems.
• Ability to operate a cutting torch and welding.
• Valid AZ CDL license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air brakes.
• Perform preventative maintenance and daily equipment checks.
• Proficient with air brake systems.
• Adjust equipment for proper tuning.
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance and DOT inspections.
• Communicate with operators to diagnose problems and facilitate repairs.
• Willingness to travel.
• Operate Street Sweeper and other equipment as needed.
