Job summary

WeDriveU, a leader in shared mobility, is seeking a skilled Fleet Maintenance Technician in Durham, NC. You will diagnose malfunctions, repair heavy fleet vehicles, and ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines while maintaining safety and efficiency.

The role requires 3+ years of fleet maintenance experience, diesel engine proficiency, and working knowledge of computerized diagnostics and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of fleet maintenance for heavy fleet with diesel engines.
• Hands-on diesel engine experience in a large fleet environment.
• Experience with computerized diagnostics.
• General shop computer knowledge, purchasing, and budget management.
• Excellent Word and Excel skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Organizational skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose malfunctions and repair vehicles (steering, electrical, brakes, engines) per guidelines.
• Arrange inspections and approvals for major repairs before release.
• Maintain a safe, clean, productive work area per guidelines.
• Identify and report additional repairs needed.
• Record time, parts used, and maintenance performed.
• Advise Lead Technician of unsafe conditions.
• Perform road calls and on-road repairs as assigned.
